Citroën is the most successful brand in the Rally Argentina with ten wins. Undoubtedly, this successful track record is more than enough motivation to Chris Meeke, which gave the brand the last success in Córdoba in 2015; Craig Breen y Khalid al qassimi. Looking ahead to the fifth date of the tournament organized by the Automobile Club Argentino, each spoke of their expectations.
The 10 victories that Citroën achieved in Rally Argentina were achieved by three drivers Carlos Sainz (2004), Sébastien Loeb (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013) and Kris Meeke (2015).
Chris Meeke: “I come into round five wanting to move up the championship standings, but this rally is a great challenge and you have to treat it with the respect it deserves. I'll do my best, as always, but time will have to be dealt with. The surface of the slopes is often conditioned by the bad weather of the last six months. In any case, it is a rally that I like, both for the variety of difficulties you encounter, and for the warm and enthusiastic welcome we receive from the local fans. Also, I've always been good here, I've been on the podium twice in my four starts, including my first WRC win.

Craig Breen: “I am afraid that my lack of knowledge may be a disadvantage, having played this rally once and even only part of it, when the others have ridden these stages for years. But I enjoyed how little I shot here last season and I can't wait to do it this year. The tests were positive, it was a long time since I last drove the C3 WRC on gravel, and the car has improved on this surface. This motivates me to take part in this rally, which will surely be very tough ”.
Khalid al qassimi: “I think this rally is going to be a real challenge for me because I haven't raced here for a long time, but I'm really looking forward to it. I will have to catch up again, review and re-review the grades from the stages. My only objective is to reach the finish line and enjoy, while supporting the team ”.
A RALLY FOR BUENOS AIRES
Each visit by the WRC team is special and Citroën Argentina never misses the opportunity to immortalize each experience with an original production to add “feel good” content to the Citroën Content platform. On this occasion the creative turn turned to the emotional side with a fun historical tribute Mehari that this year celebrates 50 years since its international launch. The final result will be available soon on all Citroën Argentina platforms.

"It aims to provide a more consistent behavior, regardless of changes in the type of surface and therefore give more confidence to the pilots", said Pierre Budar, Director of Citroën Racing.
