The British brand AC Cars returns to the load - never better said - with a one hundred percent electric model: the AC Cobra Series 4 Electric, which in its most powerful version offers more than 600 horses.
This roadster, which is based on the version 378 Superblower of AC Cobra Mk IV, was created in conjunction with Falcon Electric, who was responsible for the development of a propulsion system capable of offering high performance to maintain the essence of the sports car.
AC Cars offers two variants of the 4 Series. One with a single engine. 312 CV (230 kW) with which it reaches the 100 km / h in 4,9 seconds and that offers more than 350 kilometers autonomy. While the most powerful has a second impeller to get 625 CV (460 kW), an acceleration of 0 to 100 km / h in 3,8 seconds and an autonomy of 260 kilometers.
Despite using lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 54 kWh, AC Cars engineers managed to keep the weight at 1.240 kilos thanks to the intelligent use of lightweight materials.
“Losing excess weight has positive benefits for the car owner. A lower overall weight reduces power consumption, allowing the batteries to offer a longer range and the ability to drive the car to the traditional high standards of AC for speed and acceleration, which the brand has achieved for many years. years", explained Alan Lubinsky, responsible for AC Cars.
AC Cars has already opened reservations for its electric roadster whose first units it expects to deliver by the end of 2021. The less powerful version is priced at 172.000 euros and the most powerful, 196.000 euros.
