By carelessness -or not so much- it was known that the Aston Martin Valkyrie will be equipped with a motor 12-liter Cosworth V6.5 what will be dispensed 1.145 CV, something that will ensure this hypercar have the most powerful atmospheric thruster on the planet.
The news was made known by Cosworth through his official Twitter account. "We are famous for breaking records and our latest engine, the Aston Martin Valkyrie's 12-liter V6.5, will be the world's most powerful naturally aspirated engine with 1.145 hp."explained the brand in a tweet, which he later deleted (although there was time to take a screenshot).
The Valkyrie, born from the collaboration of Aston Martin and the team Red Bull Racing Formula 1, is built on a lightweight carbon fiber structure and has radical aerodynamics, the product of the genius of English Adrian Newey, the star designer of the Austrian team.
In addition to having the Cosworth V12, the Aston Martin Valkyrie has a system of electric drive with a battery Rimac ultra light that delivers 130 hp. Consequently, the total power would be around 1.275 CV. The transmission is seven-speed designed and manufactured by Ricardo with specifications of Red Bull Advanced Technologies.
With a weight / power ratio of 1: 1, the Valkyrie features a brake system provided by Alcon y Surface Transforms, who joined forces to create lightweight, high-performance brake pads and special carbon discs to deliver stopping power.
The Engine Control Unit (ECU), Transmission Control Unit (TCU) and Electronic Stability System (ESP) were developed by Bosch; while Wipac is responsible for the headlights and taillights.
A production of 150 units, which will begin shipping in 2019. 25 additional competition versions are included. The price of the Aston Martin Valkyrie will be around 3.5 million.
