The Austrian Bernhard Naumann, also known as Blechmann in the world of motorcycle customization, he presented his version of the BMW R 18 and baptized it as  Blechmann R 18.

BMW Motorrad launched last April the new R 18, which became the brand's first series motorcycle for the cruiser segment based on models such as BMW R 5.

Blechmann R 18Now this bike has been adapted by Naumann, who changed the chassis and technology as little as possible and used only the original anchor points to create it.

“I draw my design directly onto the object using the final material. This allows me to respond directly to the requirements and monitor the proportions at all times ”, explains the designer.

The single-seater sports bike is based on the original support structure of the rear fender, saddle and passenger, while the taillight is from Kellermann. What's more, the fuel tank has been modified, so that it is now narrower, leaving the engine more visible.

The customizer also modified the headlights, with a subtle kidney-shaped design, and placed a filament lamp in the center. Neumann It also used a black paint and the classic white BMW Motorrad stripes.

Blechmann R 18“My work begins by removing parts of the original version until there is a blank canvas. As construction progresses, the design develops. I call it Blechmann-style rapid prototype ”, says the builder. This is what makes your workshop unique.

Mainly, Blechmann works only on its craftsmanship and design. If necessary, receive support from specially chosen professionals. “You cannot do anything in this world on your own. I am more than happy to have a reliable staffing infrastructure. "

Together, the team surrounding Blechmann worked 450 hours in his version of the BMW R 18. And as can be seen in the images, it was worth it.
