Bridgestone has a clear goal: to create a company as diverse as the world in which it operates. In line with this, he launched the campaign Free to be, as a new way of expressing its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), encouraging all its collaborators to demonstrate their most authentic version through different initiatives that take all perspectives into account; individual and group.
Likewise, in seeking to create opportunities to bring teammates and allies together based on their characteristics, life experiences and shared interests, Bridgestone launched two Affinity Groups (ERGS) in Latin America, as a result of the active listening to the company and the commitment to continue evolving in each of its areas.
Thus created BProud!, a company ERG that seeks to foster collaboration, inclusion and awareness among the LGBTQ + community and its allies, which will seek to promote and provide a more equitable workplace.
Implemented in United States in 2019, BProud! simultaneously arrives at Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Chile y Colombia, and is chaired by Maria del Pilar Arata, South America Procurement Senior Manager.
BProud! is open to all employees who want to participate, not only empowers teammates who belong to the LGBTQ + community, but also attracts talent that can be a driving force, joining as allies, fostering collaboration and awareness.
