Bugatti Chiron Super Sport: To break the speedometer

This new variant of the super sports car has a 1.600 horsepower engine and costs 3.2 million euros.

The family of Bugatti Chiron adds a new member, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. This variant is positioned below the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300 +, the most powerful variant in the range; and above Bugatti Chiron Sport and Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport.

As speed is the main characteristic of the Chiron, this new model has an aerodynamic package designed to keep it stable at speeds above those 400 km / h.

Bugatti Chiron Super SportThe bodywork was lengthened 25 centimeters in the rear axle to optimize its aerodynamic efficiency. Also diffuser was modified, which now has a wider and lower aesthetic. This variation forced to reposition the exhaust pipes, which go from the central position to be on the sides (like the Super Sport 300+).

The interior is more comfortable and lush than the Chiron Super Sport 300+. It combines elements such as carbon fiber, the body and aluminum.

The wheels are made of aluminum in a five-spoke "Y" design and fitted with tires. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 newly developed that have been optimized to support speeds up to 500 km / h.

Bugatti Chiron Super SportThis version of the Chiron mounts the 16-liter W8.0 engine and four turbochargers that were removed 100 hp more. Consequently its total power is 1.600 horses yy 1.600 Nm from 2.000 rpm.

This powerplant is managed by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Go from 0 to 200 km / h in 5,8 seconds and do the 0-300 km / h in 12,1 seconds. While from 0 to 400 km / h it is 7% faster than the Chiron. The maximum speed is 439 km / h.

Bugatti Chiron Super SportThe steering and suspension are firmer and the electronics are more precise to react in time to the very high speeds. It has four driving modes: EB, Handling, Autobahn and Top Speed.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport will have a limited production to 30 units. Each one will cost 3,2 millones de euros. The first deliveries are scheduled for the beginning of 2022 so we will have to be patient ...
