El Renault Sport Castrol Team de Super TC2000 officially announced its third driver for the 2021 season: Damien Fineschi, who will occupy the place that he left vacant Facundo Ardusso and thus complete the alignment you already have to Leonel Pernía y Matías Milla confirmed.

Fineschi was since last year developing professional tasks abroad as an engineer in the WTCR. If history is reviewed, the paths traveled by Renault and Damien have several points in common.

Damien FineschiThe Quilmeño studied his secondary education at the Renault Technical Institute located in Santa Isabel, Córdoba (and directly dependent on the factory); in 2003 he competed in the Formula Renault Interprovincial, as of 2004 it did so in the Renault Megane Cup and, in the 2006/2007 seasons, in the Formula Renault.

His relationship with the RS Super TC2000 team is also marked in a special way: in 2019 he participated as a guest driver of Leonel Pernía in the 200 Kilometers from Buenos Aires where the binomial prevailed with authority, allowing Tanito a fundamental result to conquer the scepter.

“The possibility of competing in the Super TC2000 with Renault is something I have longed for for many years. I come to a brand with an immense tradition in the category… Since the years when I saw my old man race against the first Renault 18, the Fuego Coupé and so many models that were highly successful. I also arrive at the best time, everyone wants to race in this team "Fineschi explained.

“It is a very great motivation to get to a team that fought and won most of the last championships and always remains the protagonist: having four of the last five tournaments indicates the demand and the level reached. I am going to work to add my effort in the fulfillment of the proposed objectives ", culminated.

This announcement comes just 15 days before the start of the 2021 contest, which will begin on March 14 in Buenos Aires.
