One of the main factors hindering the buying and selling of a used car is the concern of potential buyers in relation to the vehicle background. Before making the transaction, generally, the interested parties must turn to a trusted mechanic so that he can give them an overview of the condition of the car or, simply, believe the seller.

Given this situation, from Datacar more than seven years ago they launched a platform that allows us to know the past of the automobile. To reinforce the security in the purchase, they now included a history with the type of accident (collision, hail, flood, theft, fire, etc.), dates, the areas of the vehicle that were affected and the magnitude of the damage.

In addition, now you can know the kilometers that a car had on a certain date, to know if there was a possible “mileage regression” or if what the seller reports is real.

Datacar“Since we are a 100% digital company, in this context of a pandemic, people can operate without leaving their home. We have a QR code to validate that the requested report was not modified. In recent days we have several cases in which alterations in mileage were detected, as well as vehicles with accidents that were not mentioned by the seller. There are already more than 6 million declared claims and 1,5 million mileage records ", argues Dario Aleskovich, one of the founders of Datacar.

The platform receives more than 550.000 medical consultations annual and also includes data such as if the vehicle is first-hand, if it was used as a taxi or remis, a complete description (make, model, year, etc.), its tax situation, if it has registered traffic violations and insurance policy current.

In addition, CNG status, technical reviews, auto parts engraving, possible factory defects (recalls), technical data sheet, historical vehicle statistics, and reference prices.

Today users are around 600.000 y three million of requested reports. Its databases have information on more than 18 million vehicles.

The procedure is simple. Once inside the site, the patent of the vehicle to be consulted is entered and once identified, the system connects with numerous sources of information, groups the data and in a matter of seconds it prepares the summary. The new report can be obtained from $ 690.
