The sale of used cars in quarantine continues to grow

This was revealed by a Datacar report, which adds solutions to make the history of the vehicle even more transparent and protect buyers from possible deception and scams.

Datacar, a platform that allows us to know the past of the automobile, announced an increase in inquiries from a 17% so far this year and plans to reach a 35% in the coming months

In this context, and to add to the security of the purchase-sale operation, the company included a history with the type of claim (crash, hail, flood, theft, fire, etc.), dates, the areas of the vehicle that were affected and the magnitude of the damage, with a view to taking care of the sale and purchase of used cars in the midst of Covid-19.

The ranking of inquiries was 46,10% in Buenos Aires, 27,30% in CABA; Santa Fe, 7,70%; and the rest of the country, 18,90%. Regarding gender, 52% were men and 48% were women, and more than 30% were between 25 and 34 years old.

Through Datacar you can know the kilometers a car had on a certain date to know if there was a possible “mileage regression” or if what the seller reports is real. In addition, the platform allows to know other data such as if the vehicle is first-hand, if it was used as a taxi or remis, a complete description (make, model, year, etc.), its tax situation, if it has registered traffic violations and current insurance policy.

Also the state of CNG, technical reviews, car parts engraving, possible factory defects (recalls), technical sheet, historical statistics of the vehicle and reference prices.
