As of July, two new airlines will begin to provide services in the province of Santiago del Estero. The first will join the Santiago capital with Buenos Aires and the other Rio Hondo hot springs with Buenos Aires. These new services are the product of the efforts made by the Santiago government.
It's all about the lines Flybondi, which is already operating with four weekly frequencies (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) in the Buenos Aires-Santiago del Estero corridor and vice versa. While from July 11 it will start flying again Andes Airlines to cover the Buenos Aires-Termas de Río Hondo corridor with two weekly frequencies that will take place on Wednesdays and Sundays.
“In the case of Flybondi, it is a second airline that flies at the capital airport after almost 20 years. This new airline will provide services with four weekly frequencies that will be added to the two daily flights that the Capital already has with the flag carrier ", specific Ricardo Sosa, Undersecretary of Tourism of the Province.
"Flybondi has the low-cost airline format that makes it possible to have a reduced and accessible travel fare for passengers, allowing more people to travel with this company", He added.
On the other hand, Sosa pointed out that Andes Lineas Aereas will fly in high season for the second consecutive year in the Buenos Aires-Termas de Río Hondo corridor and vice versa. “The agreement that is being closed is for 90 days with the possibility of extending the continuity of the flights for 60 more days. In this case, they are seasonal flights, that is, they are carried out during the high season of Termas de Río Hondo, allowing tourists to have greater possibilities of traveling "He said.
Finally, Sosa thanked the support received by the Minister of Transportation of the Nation, Guillermo Dietrich, who at all times, "It was supporting the efforts so that these companies can have the routes authorized and logically agree with the Province on their operation."
