El 9 and October 10 el Autodromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez of the City of Buenos Aires It will be the scene of the 24 Hours from Buenos Aires, a competition of endurance and controlled speed that recalls those long-term events organized by the Tourism Automobile Pilots Association (APAT).
The vehicles that may participate are those of the type sedan and coupe between 1961 and 2000 inclusive, divided into categories by year and cylinder capacity. The organizers say that this will be the first edition of a competition to be held every year.
During the launch of the test, the Engineer Carlos García Remohí, President of the Automobile Sports Commission of Automobile Club Argentino; Fernando Algañarás, holder of the Argentine Association of Sport Automobiles; Daniel Igoillo, Representing the Argentine Flyers Association; Luis Betnaza, by the Trust of the Buenos Aires racetrack; Y Eduardo Ramirez, producer of the event.
“This is a homecoming from endurance racing. I hope there are many participants and we will make this tribute to the pilots who participated in the old 24 hours great ”, affirmed García Remohí.
