The Brabham BT62 in actionDavid Brabham himself, multiple winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and CEO of the company, was in charge of pushing the Brabham BT62 to the limit in tests carried out in The Bend Motorsport Park.

“The BT62 is incredibly responsive and rewarding to drive. In short, it is very easy to feel comfortable in the car. The direction is very direct and does exactly what you want it to do. It has a lot of grip and gives the driver a lot of confidence, even on wet ground. It really is exceptional "Brabham said.

The car's good responsiveness is due to its good power-to-weight ratio and downforce. Weighing in at just 972kg and 710hp, the BT62's sleek shape produces over 1200kg of downforce, making it possible to perform well on the track.

With this part of the dynamic development program completed, the Brabham BT62 will continue to run on European circuits. “Our tests in Australia have shown what BT62 is capable of in terms of performance, pace and handling. As the development phase progresses in Europe, we will continue to balance and optimize its setup for different riding styles, tracks and conditions. ” explained Paul Birch, Director of Engineering and Technology at Brabham Automotive.

Brabham's first stop on this next testing stage will be the Algarve International Circuit in Portimao, Portugal, later this month.
