A new player has joined the exclusive hypercar segment. Is about Elation Hypercars, a California-based company created by two entrepreneurs from the River Plate: the Argentine Carlos Satulovsky and the Uruguayan Mauro saravia, who makes some pipes worked for different teams of the TC2000. The first model of this brand new company is the Elation Freedom, which already has a final version after five years of hard work and development.
Satulovsky and Saravia met in Argentina in the mid-80s and they always wanted to work together. The original idea was to make airplanes, although later the project took a considerable turn and they chose to have their products fly, but quietly ...
The Elation Freedom, built on a carbon fiber and kevlar chassis, is a true engineering gem that stands out for its elegant design that reflects sportiness at first glance.
The chassis includes a T-shaped lithium-ion battery to promote weight distribution and adapt it to the structure of the sports car. It will be available with capacities of 100 y 120 kWh, which will allow ranges of autonomy between 483 and 644 kilometers.
The base model of Freedom will have three electric motors producing a combined power of 1.434 CV. Elation also plans to offer a variant with around 1.903 CV, which would allow you to accelerate 0-100 km / h in about 1,8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed limited to 418 km/h.
The Freedom will also be offered with a combustion engine, but with the designation Ionic. Will have a 10-liter V5.2 block of Audi origin and all-wheel drive, coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It will have a power greater than 750 CV and a torque of 664 Nm. This configuration would allow you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2,5 seconds and exceed the 386 km/h.
Although built for road use, the Freedom is equipped with a titanium double wishbone suspension inspired by the F1 that allows you to excel on a track. Stability control software interfaces with a torque vectoring system to provide additional layers of redundancy and safety.
Designed for global homologation and to exceed the crash regulations outlined in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, the car will meet the strictest safety requirements of the FIA to be able to participate in the new division of hybrid hypercars of the Wec.
The price of the brand new Elation Hypercars products would be around two million dollars.
