The 2021 edition of Hungarian Grand Prix it will be remembered for a long time. Especially for French Esteban Ocon, who achieved his first victory in the category at the age of 24 and also gave his first great joy to Alpine, the name it took Renault for this season.

The podium was completed by the German Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin) and English Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), who returned to first place in the tournament after a crazy race that he had emotion from the beginning.

Esteban OconOcon, who came second from the chaos of the first corner after multiple accidents, withstood the attacks of veteran Vettel to become the 14th driver from his country to win in F.1.

The last Grand Prix before the hiatus of almost a month was entertaining. The rain before the start already threw an uncertainty that increased after the green traffic light, with a negative role for the Finn Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes).

Hamilton defended his first place well, but the Nordic did not come out well, he could not protect himself from the Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and touched the English from behind Lando Norris (McLaren), which rebound took the world leader, while the Canadian Lance stroll (Aston Martin) did the same with the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari). The Scandinavian and the Canadian were subsequently sanctioned with five places for Belgium.

StartThe incident led to the arrest of the competition with Red flag and a new start, which the still leader of the championship was able to face, albeit with his Red Bull seriously damaged.

The new game left, surely one of the images of this Grand Prix and of the season. The track had dried up and all the riders decided to rush in to change their tires, except for Hamilton who was left alone on the grid with the wet tires.

The Englishman had to correct that mistake, which would end up being decisive for the future of the race because he entered the pits the next lap and was in last place. That left Ocon and Vettel and the rest free to dream of a Sunday of glory.

However, the seven-time world champion did not give up and made the most of his Mercedes to start a great comeback. After two more stops he showed a good pace to dream of a heroic triumph. But Hamilton ran into the Spanish Fernando Alonso (Alpine).

Lewis HamiltonRecalling the battles of yesteryear, the multiple champion took several turns to overcome his rival, something that was ultimately decisive for Ocon and Vettel to receive the checkered flag first.

This Hungarian Grand Prix will enter the history of crazy racing in Formula 1. And as Olivier panis in 1996 in Monaco, or Pierre Gasly in 2020 at Monza in Italy, it was a Frenchman who knew how to take advantage of the circumstances. It took Ocon 78 Grands Prix to enter the private club of Grand Prix winners, now comprised of 111 drivers.

Once the victory was certified, the Frenchman ran through the pit area, jumped for joy and melted into a hug with Alonso. A celebration at the height of the moment, perhaps unique in a pilot's career.  “What a moment, this feels great. We have had difficult moments this season but we have continued working. I don't know what to say, it's just fantastic. It is a team effort "declared the winner before taking the podium.

Thanks to third place, Hamilton returned to first place in the tournament. He has 192 points and leads by six to Verstappen, who finished tenth with a very stable car after the blow he received from Norris for the carom started by Bottas.
