The Spanish Fernando Alonso, of the team Alpine F1 Team de F1, he acknowledged that he will have to "Relearn" things after two years without being in the highest category, but, on the other hand, he has been ambitious and optimistic in the face of "Win races" in the future.
“I feel like I have something left to do, win races or championships in F.1, and for that you need more than just your motivation, you also need luck and a good car. It's something we have to do with Alpine. I can't guarantee it, but we will fight for races and championships in the future. It is what we have in mind. But we don't run alone ”, acknowledged at a press conference.
In this sense, he assures that he returns to close his journey with the F.1 with more successes. “The main reason for coming back was because I felt like I was at my best in the last couple of years. The last few months I was driving better than ever, and I had to make a decision on what would be the next challenge after 24 Hours or Indy. Formula 1 is the best place where I can be ", be sincere.
For this new stage in the F.1, of which he was champion in 2005 and 2006, Alonso returns precisely with Renault, team with which he achieved his successes and is now known as Alpine. “The team is very different and it is good news, if everything remained the same it would not be good. The factory has been updated and modernized, the technological power from now to 15 years ago is very different. I am very happy with everything I have seen in the factories. There is talent, some mechanics are the same and that takes me back in time and makes for a good atmosphere ”, acknowledged.
And with that environment, and his work, he hopes to have a good 2021 World Cup but, above all, prepare for the F.1 of the future, starting in 2022, with new regulations. “We have to maximize and reach perfection every weekend. We want to achieve good results. The races are challenges, we will have to be prepared and keep the energy fresh ”, he pointed.
Of course, it must be recycled as soon as possible. “After being two years away from F1, there are some things that I will have to relearn again and get used to again. But in terms of driving, or the weekend work, it would have to go well because I have been competing every week, I have not been at home without walking ”, qualified.
