The Asturian, who will return to La Máxima this year as a Alpine F1, had to go through the operating room last Friday to undergo a corrective surgery on his face due to a upper jaw fracture, although his team noted that he hoped he was "Fully operational" when the next World Cup starts at the end of March with the Bahrain GP.
Alonso had to remain under observation in the hospital for the next 48 hours and after that period he was already discharged "To continue the recovery at home", indicated the Alpine F1 Team on their social networks.
