At an auction conducted by RM Sotheby's at Petersen Automobile Museum from Los Angeles were paid 22 million by a Ferrari MM 290 from 1956 who drove Juan Manuel Fangio.
The car in question has the specification 860 Monza and was used by the Quintuple in the Swedish Grand Prix from then World Brands Championship. Although El Chueco could not reach the end of the race, the car is valued because behind his wheel too there were Stirling Moss, Peter Collins, Phil Hill y Wolfang Von Trips, other great pilots of the 1950s.
It is worth remembering that almost three years ago the 290 MM that Fangio used in the 1956 Mille Miglia was auctioned. This copy was sold for 28 million.
