The team Ferrari dominated the first day of activity of the Dutch Grand Prix de F1, 13th date of the tournament that takes place in the circuit of Zandvoort, with the double that his pilots achieved, the Monegasque Charles Leclerc and Spanish Carlos Sainz.

After 36 years of absence, the Máxima returns to the Dutch circuit, marked by its spectacular banked curves that promise great battles throughout the weekend, and the first day completely altered the usual order of the grid, since neither Mercedes ni Red Bull they fought for the lead.

Charles Leclerc
Charles Leclerc did not resist the banks of Zandvoort.

That privilege went to the Scuderia, with Leclerc stopping the timer at 1:10.902 and Sainz second to 154/1000 in the second practice, which was the fastest. The Italian team left its best sensations from the Monaco Grand Prix, where Leclerc achieved pole, although he could not start; and Sainz finished second.

At 172 thousandths of the Monegasque was the French Esteban Ocon (Alpine), while his Spanish companion Fernando Alonso He already lost almost four tenths and was sixth. In any case, the French brand also feeds the illusion of standing out in the Dutch GP.

Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton led the first free practice, but did not finish the second ...

As for the title contenders, the local Max Verstappen he failed to shine in front of the "Orange Tide" that encouraged him strongly and he could only be fifth, just behind the Finn Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes), although it was English Lewis Hamilton who got the worst of it.

In front of a notoriously hostile crowd, the champion and tournament leader suffered a breakdown when he had just completed three laps in the afternoon session. The spectators cheered when they saw his vehicle stopped on the asphalt and the Englishman could no longer roll again, having to settle for eleventh position and very little information on an unknown circuit.

Nor was it the best Friday for McLaren, with the British Lando Norris eighth and the australian Daniel Ricciardo, 16 °. French completed the Top 10 Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri), the Italian Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romero) and the German Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin), after repairing his vehicle from the breakdown that caused the red flag to fly for 40 minutes in the morning session.
