El Ford Territory got the award Crash test al Safer Car 2020 in the category Midsize SUV, mention granted by the Experimentation and Road Safety Center (CESVI) in Argentina.
In this 14th edition of the safety awards, Ford vehicles add one more star, thus counting 18 awards and becoming the automotive company that received the most distinctions in the history of the event.
For the election of the winners, the base model vehicles launched between January 1 and December 31, 2020 were taken into account. CESVI Argentina specialists analyzed more than 160 items which included active safety, passive safety, driving assistance and structural behavior, in addition to considering the price-safety ratio.
In the exhaustive evaluation, Ford Territory stood out for its state-of-the-art equipment. "It is a proposal that manages to achieve an interesting price-product ratio, where a great technological deployment stands out and that includes all the benefits to prevent accidents", they explained from CESVI Argentina.
Territory accompanies its sophisticated design with the exclusive driver assistance system Ford Co-Pilot 360, a package of technologies applied to safety that offers drivers confidence and greater enjoyment.
The Experimentation Center highlighted multiple attributes that make up this assistance package and among them are: Traction and Stability Control, Hill Start Assistance, ABS complemented by Electronic Brake Distribution and Emergency Braking Assistance.
Ford Co-Pilot 360 also offers Territory users different warning systems that work thanks to the interaction of the vehicle with the environment through its various sensors, for example: Forward Collision Alert, Blind Spot Alert and Shift Alert rail.
To this, the Ford SUV adds to its cutting-edge performance a 360 camera with panoramic vision, giving a unique visibility of great help for any maneuver, and adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, an autonomous system that allows to set the speed of movement and the distance with the vehicle in front, even braking completely before the need to stop and resuming the march once the vehicle in front advances.
In turn, CESVI Argentina highlighted the Territory's equipment in terms of passive safety, emphasizing its six airbags (front, front side and curtain) that work in partnership with the restraint systems made up of five three-point inertial belts and the respective height-adjustable head restraints. Another highlighted item was its maximum level of structural protection provided by a solid high-resistance reinforced steel skeleton that ensures the preservation of the cabin in the event of a crash.
Since its arrival in Argentina, Territory established a new standard for this type of vehicle in terms of comfort, technology and safety, being one more example of the strategic direction of the brand focused on SUVs, pick-ups and light commercial vehicles.
