The brazilian Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler) achieved its first victory of the 2017/2018 season of the Formula E to win the Zurich ePrix, a test that will go down in history as it is the first to be held in Swiss territory after more than six decades since competitions have been banned since the crash at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955.
Di Grassi, who started from fifth place, won ahead of the Briton Sam bird (DS Virgin Racing) and the Belgian Jerome D'Ambrossio (Dragon Racing), in a race in which numerous drivers received penalties.
Among those sanctioned was the Cordoba Jose Maria Lopez (Dragon Racing), who crossed the finish line in the 12X place then fight for a position in the Top 10.
A qualifying penalty for not respecting a yellow flag forced Pechito to start eighth after being fifth in the heat. While in competition he had to comply with a pass and follow for a similar infraction. The Argentine returned to the track in ninth place, but a mistake delayed him.
The tournament continues with the French Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah), 10th in this race, leading by 17 points over Bird. Both will define the title in the last engagement of the year: July 14 and 15 in the streets of New York.
