Great Wall X Cannon: A full size pick-up Made in China

It is one of the great attractions of the Shanghai Hall. It is equipped with a 6 hp 3.0-liter turbo V350 engine. It will also have a self-charging hybrid version.

The chinese giant Great Wall Motors decided to dive into the full-size pick-up segment. This has been demonstrated at the Shanghai Motor Show where the prototype debuted Great Wall X Cannon that anticipates what a production model could be like.

Great Wall X CannonThe Great Wall X Cannon was created on the basis of the brand new Tank platform, which includes independent suspension on all four wheels. Its appearance is robust and includes a front as imposing as it is elegant. The horizontal grill is large and is joined by square lights that, according to the brand, adopt the "jade ring" of Chinese culture.

It has a hood that is lower than usual in the segment, plastic moldings on the fenders, a long cargo box in relation to the cabin and a set of taillights with a bar that connects both headlights.

This tremendous Made in China pickup uses a 6 L turbo V3.0 engine that delivers 350 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It is associated with a nine-speed automatic transmission and includes four-wheel drive.

Great Wall X CannonGreat Wall Motors has already advised that it will also be offered with a self-charging hybrid version, which will have a system composed of the same V6, but assisted by a 200 hp electric motor and 425 Nm of torque. Thus it will reach a brutal 750 Nm. Both motors will be able to act in tandem at times of high energy demand or in 100% electric mode.
