Haval XY: The concept that advances a new design language

It was presented at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show with a very striking design.

Find the model you want in Shanghai Motor Show 2021, Haval introduced a new SUV in the form of a concept car, the Haval XY, which debuts the design language that the brand plans to use in its future models.

Built on the new LEMON high-efficiency modular platform, some Chinese media confirmed that the Haval XY will go into production by the end of 2021.

Haval XYThe XY has two thin LED lights on its front, one located in the lower part of the bumper and another above the grill. Of a significant size, it presents a framework made up of many horizontal chrome strips. The front bumper includes an air intake demarcated by diagonal lines, which give the front an aggressive look.

On the sides, el SUV features a slightly steep roof drop, so it is not classified as fastback. In addition, it has a high waist and the lower part of the doors have design lines that are too extreme for my taste.

Haval XYThe rear bumper has a very pronounced diffuser and a quadruple circular exhaust outlet, a sloping rear window and partially protected by a huge spoiler.

The Haval XY is equipped with a hybrid system DHT LEMON, which uses a dual-engine HEV architecture. In the front a Turbo 1.5 and behind the DHT130 electric. Combined they generate a maximum power of 180 kW (245 hp).

Of the interior nothing is known since the concept was presented with dark glasses.
