Hyundai presented the new Hyundai ioniq 5, the first 100% electric model that will launch under its Ioniq range vehicular zero emissions that you will have until 480 kilometers of autonomy electric on a single charge.
As announced by the South Korean company, this model establishes the "reference point" to redefine the electric mobility lifestyle with features "Sustainable and innovative". Deliveries of the first units of the vehicle will begin in some European countries in the second quarter of this year.
The new Ioniq 5 is built on the new specific architecture of the Hyundai group for electric cars (E-GMP), which allows it to have proportions "Unique" with a high wheelbase of up to three meters, as well as an ultra-fast load.

Evoking the attitude of Hyundai ponyThe brand's first production car, the front of the new Ioniq 5 is fitted with the firm's first “oyster-type” bonnet and its front bumper is defined by its “V” shape, which incorporates daytime running lights.
Among other elements, the aerodynamic wheels feature a parametric pixel design and are offered in a 20-inch diameter, the largest ever equipped on a Hyundai electric vehicle.
Inside the model, its flat floor on which the batteries are stored allows greater freedom of movement within the vehicle. The car is equipped with electronically adjustable front seats, which reduce their thickness by 30%, providing more space for second-row passengers.
Moreover, the car's center console can slide back up to 14 centimeters and many of the interior elements, such as the seats, headliner or upholstery, use environmentally friendly and sustainably sourced materials, such as recycled plastic bottles and plant-based yarns.
The Ioniq 5 will be available with a wide range of electric drive configurations and customers will be able to choose from two battery sizes 58 or 72,6 kilowatt hours (kWh), which develop up to 480 kilometers of autonomy.
At the top of the range is a variant with 209 horsepower rear engine of power and a 93 horsepower front engine, which provides all-wheel drive. This setting can speed up from 0 to 100 km / h in 5,2 seconds. The vehicle is also available with front-wheel drive, with a powertrain that reaches the 214 horses, as well as other motor and battery configurations.
Following the presentation of the model, Hyundai will open orders for a launch edition of the Ioniq 5 called Project 45 in certain European markets. This special edition will have elements such as a sunroof, 20-inch wheels and an advanced Head-Up Display with selectable augmented reality functions.
These customers who reserve this special edition will be the first to receive the car in Europe. This version will be limited to 3.000 units worldwide and in Europe will only be available in France, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands y Norway. Deliveries will begin in the second quarter of this year.
