Hyundai started testing on its hybrid WRC for 2022

The car is based on the standard Hyundai i20 N and emphasizes the link between motorsport and technology.

After committing to the hybrid era of the World Rally, Hyundai Motorsport you have put a prototype of your car to the test Rally1 for the first time. The test was carried out on land in the south of France.

After intensive preparation of the new car at the team base in Alzenau, the aim of the test was to understand the behavior of the car, its strengths and weaknesses and plan the next steps according to the conclusions of this first outing.

Hyundai Motorsport will accelerate the development of the i20 N-based car with an intensive plan of tests at different locations in Europe to evaluate it in different conditions and terrains, reflecting the variety of circumstances at the event. Its performance will be thoroughly evaluated over the next few months leaving nothing to chance before the debut in 2022.
