Iveco will start to produce the Iveco Tector of 15 tons in its Ferreyra Productive Pole, in the province of Córdoba. Manufacturing will start in October and the commercialization is scheduled for the last quarter of the year.
This nationalization implies the generation of more than 100 jobs working throughout the value chain, as well as the promotion of national suppliers through new components.
An example in this regard is the development of a new chassis, exclusive for this model, by the Cordoba metallurgical company Maxion Montich. The local supply of parts will also contribute to a greater productive flexibility of the plant.
"The decision to manufacture this model in Argentina is a sign of the company's global confidence in our Productive Pole and is also a new advance in the ambitious import substitution process that we have proposed to carry out", he claimed Marcus cheistwer, President of CNH Industrial Argentina, owner of Iveco.
Designed for short and medium-distance urban commutes, the 15-ton Tector currently arrives from Brazil, but preparations are underway to transfer production to the Córdoba plant.
The Tector 150E21 has the highest power (206 hp) and torque (720 Nm) on the market. These results are possible thanks to the cutting-edge technology of the NEF4 engine 4,5-liter SCR four-cylinder engine to begin production at the factory in FPT Industrial, also within the CNH Industrial Productive Pole in Córdoba.
