Jeep launched the new Jeep Gladiator, a model with the characteristic DNA of the brand with the seven bars. This midsize pick-up based on Wrangler It comes in two versions: Overland y Rubicon.
The new Gladiator, which takes up the legacy of that model manufactured by Kaiser Argentina Industry (IKA) between 1963 and 1967, it boasts a robust and elegant design that is immediately recognizable.
Both versions of the Gladiator offer independent chassis, rigid axle suspensions and control arms, coil springs, anti-lock differential, reducer, metal fuel tank guard, transmission and transfer case, full-size spare wheel and a ford of 750 mm.
The Jeep Gladiator Overland mounts P255 / 70S R18 tires, has a clearance of 254mm, an angle of attack of 40,8 °, a departure angle of 25 ° and a belly angle of 18,4 °. While the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon uses LT255 / 75R17C BFGoodrich off-road tires, their clearance of 280mm, angle of attack of 43,4 °, a departure angle of 26 ° and a belly angle of 20,3 °.
The instrument panel sports a 7 inch TFT screen which allows the driver to configure the information displayed in more than 100 different ways, including music, tire pressure monitoring, low pressure alert and digital speed indicator. Buttons integrated into the steering wheel allow you to control the audio, voice and speed functions without taking your hands off the wheel.
The 8,4 inch touch screenPlaced in a prominent position on the center console, the Uconnect multimedia system operates. Just below the screen are functional elements such as climate control, volume controls and USB ports.
The new Jeep Gladiator rides the well-known 6-liter Pentastar V3.6 engine who delivers 285 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that comes standard on all models, and features the Start Stop system (ESS) as standard.
Regarding safety, Jeep claims that its pick-up has 80 active and passive systems. These include blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, forward off-road camera and adaptive cruise control.
