Ecuadorian Juan Manuel Correa will return to compete this year after recovering from the very serious accident that he starred in 2019 during the ninth round of the tournament F2 on the Belgian circuit of Spa-Francorchamps and in which the french died Anthoine Hubert.
Strap will run on the F3 with a team car ART. “I am very happy to be back after everything I have been through. I am very grateful to ART Grand Prix. It means a lot to me that you believe in me and my return. Formula 3 is a year of transition, my dream is still to get to Formula 1 and this is the first step on my lap ”explained the 21-year-old pilot.
Correa, grandson of the former president of Ecuador, Rodrigo Borja; underwent several operations for fractures in both legs and a minor spinal injury, and has had to live with a leg brace for more than a year in his long rehabilitation process.
“I still have a lot to do. I haven't driven a car for a year and a half and I have a big learning curve ahead of me. I am entering this season with an open mind. I will not pressure myself, I will do my best; I will do what I love and that is already a victory ", Assured.

The incident occurred in the Raidillon curve, when Hubert's car, after avoiding a collision with his compatriot Giuliano Alesi, he went against the protections and when he returned to the track he was run over by the car from Quito.
Hours later, the FIA confirmed the fatal outcome of the 22-year-old Hubert and 3 GP2018 Series champion. Alesi suffered no sequelae, while Correa underwent a long process of operations and rehabilitation.
