As advanced Automundo, the salteño Kevin Benavides, 2021 rally champion Dakar Rally with Honda, took the "1" to the official team KTM after communicating his departure from the Japanese team last week.
Benavides traveled to Austria over the weekend to sign the agreement with the most winning brand on the two wheels of the tough competition. There he met Jordi Viladoms, head of the team, Robert Jonas y Pete Beirer, company managers.
“It's exciting to join the KTM team, it's a great, great opportunity for me. This change is an important chapter in my career as a pilot, I have always been a fan of KTM bikes, Red Bull and how the team is organized ”explained Benavides.

Benavides next steps will be to spend a few weeks training in Dubai to add your first kilometers with the KTM 450 Rally. Your first goal is to arrive well prepared at Rally Kazakhstan, which will be held in June and where he will make his official debut with his new team.
