The Force India team will participate in the Formula 1 World Championship with a pink racing car due to an agreement with one of its sponsors.
As a result of their contract with the Austrian firm BWT (Best Water Technology), a company dedicated to water treatment, the cars that will be driven by the Mexican Sergio “Checo” Pérez and the Frenchman Esteban Ocon will wear a striking intense pink, an unprecedented color the history of the category.
The team's VJM10 models, powered by a Mercedes engine, will also have silver and magenta accents as a product of long-term cooperation with the Austrian firm.
To bolster the bold bet, both Pérez and Ocon will also sport pink helmets.
Pérez was enthusiastic about the change and on his Instagram account he published a photo with the image of the new car.
