The history of the German Jutta Kleinschmidt, the first woman to win the rally Dakar Rally, will hit the big screen with a film that will be produced by Steven Spielberg, through your company Amblin Partners.
The German engineer, who first raced the Dakar on motorcycles, then was a navigator and finally faced the competition behind the wheel, spoke about everything that had to happen to reach the top of the discipline in the book "My victory in Dakar", on which the film will be based.
The film will be directed by David Leitch (director of John Wick) and the script will be in charge of Greta heinemann with the advice of Kleinschmidt, who will also be a co-producer.
The actors, and especially the female interpreter, have not yet been chosen, but it is confirmed that Kleinschmidt will shoot the action scenes. "Whenever there is something to drive, whether on a motorcycle or by car, I will be there because I have the experience to do it and I don't want anyone else to do it"He said.
The movie will show the Mitsubishi montero original with which he won in the race and which is currently owned by the Japanese brand. There will also be many of the bikes that Kleinschmidt used and that belong to his private collection.
