We consider it important to mention this situation because it is already having an impact on the year-end forecasts. Today we see a market close to 400.000 vehicles ", analyzed Ricardo Salome, president of ACARA.

“We are going into an active second half of the year; The exchange rate situation in recent weeks has made people go out and buy because they know that it is a good time to buy a vehicle and take advantage of the opportunities that are generated by the existing gap. Beyond these issues, we continue to work from the value chain with national authorities on substantive measures that allow greater predictability in a strategic sector such as the automotive industry in which we employ more than 75.000 people ", Anadio.

Meanwhile Ruben Beato, Secretary General of the institution completed: "It is time to continue strengthening a consistent production because the loss of volume puts the profitability of the sector at risk and brings unwanted consequences. That is why it is important to anticipate and seek solutions together, at a time when national cars have taken a greater role. We have been insisting for many years on the importance of reaching these levels of local participation and now we cannot miss this opportunity ”.
