El Peugeot Design Lab prepare a spectacular work of art for him Geneva Motor Show, which will open its doors on March 8. Is about a 12,5 meter long and 4,8 meter high sculpture of the lion representing the French brand.
This effigy is made to commemorate the 160 years of existence of the iconic Peugeot logo, which was originally a lion in profile walking on an arrow. Registered in 1858, it symbolizes the three qualities of Peugeot saw blades that were made in the early days of the brand: flexibility, tooth strength and cutting speed. The arrow represents speed.
This sculpture is the work of the designers of the Peugeot Design Lab, whose mission is to put all the experience and know-how of Peugeot at the service of clients outside the automotive sector.
“The stylists have endowed this monumental Lion with a unique and timeless design, with fluid and sculptural surfaces. Its spectacular dimensions accentuate the solid, powerful and unchanging character of the Lion. His upright profile, moving forward with determination, but without aggressiveness, is a symbol of serenity and confidence in the future ”, said Gilles Vidal, Design Director of Peugeot.
