The 2021 edition of Monaco Grand Prix de F1 left a bad taste to english Lewis Hamilton. The pilot of Mercedes finished seventh and with that result lost the first place of the tournament, which passed to the Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull), winner of the competition.

The performance of Hamilton and his team was far below expectations, although it was known in advance that the street was not exactly optimal for the characteristics of the Black Arrows.

Although the Finnish Valtteri Bottas had podium chances, which vanished in his pit stop in which right front wheel jammed, the Sevenfold never fought forward. First due to a set-up error and then due to a failed tactic of getting ahead of the pit stop that caused him to lose ground instead of gaining it.

“We will do everything we can indoors and work together to try to come out of this stronger. We have performed poorly as a team all weekend, from the beginning. We will focus on the next race ”, summed up after the race.

Several hours later he decided to open up with his fans through his account on Instagram. “Things could be a lot worse. Of course the day sucked, but these days we learn the most and grow the most ”, He explained.

However, he saw the positive side of the situation: “I'm really grateful for days like this and I'm not saying I always love them. It just brings us closer, makes us work harder and makes us hungrier. Every person on this team is feeling it and we are going to do what we always did: come together, come back and fight! ”
