At the end of 2017 the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Camera (CAFAM) and Messe Frankfurt Argentina, a leading company in the organization of exhibitions, congresses and events, announced the realization of the 1st International Argentine Motorcycle Show. The long-awaited event will finally take place from October 25 to 28 in La Rural, with the participation of the most important brands and players in the market.
"This meeting will be a unique opportunity for the public that will not only be able to know and test the latest launches of each brand, they will also be able to enjoy races and sports exhibitions" said Lino Stefanuto, president of CAFAM. And I add: "In addition, we are working with the Road Safety agency and other agencies to offer workshops, seminars and driving schools."
As the Project Manager, Fabian Natalini, expressed: “This is a long-standing project. We have been working together with CAFAM on its planning for a long time, until we concluded that this was the moment to do it ”.
? The Show was born in a framework of strengthening the sector, whose sales show a sustained growth month by month. According to CAFAM data, 69.410 motor vehicles were patented in March, of which 91% (63.203) are of national origin.
Meanwhile, the numbers produced by the Motor Vehicle Division of the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (Acara) are also encouraging: the growth in March was 4,9% in relation to the same month of 2017 and 18,6, 2018% when compared to February of this year. The accumulated of 201.937 is 13,7 units, which means an increase of 177.661% compared to the same period last year, when XNUMX motorcycles were patented.
In this first quarter of the year, CAFAM specified, low-displacement motorcycles continued to lead sales: the first place was taken by the 110 cc units (41%), followed by the 150 cc units (24%). The ranking is led by the province of Buenos Aires, with 27% of sales; followed by Santa Fe, with 10%; and Córdoba, with 9%. Then there are Chaco, with 8%; and Tucumán, with 5%.
The outlook is encouraging as the trend has been increasing month by month compared to 2017. “We have already confirmed the participation of the main brands in the market, and we continue working on the call for companies. Both the sector and the public were waiting for this event, so we trust that the Show will be a success and that it reflects the growth of the industry ”, Natalini concluded.
