Everything is ready for the return of World Superbike to Argentina after the parenthesis forced in 2020 by the coronavirus pandemic. As in 2018 y 2019 the scene of this festival of speed for lovers of two wheels will be the San Juan Villicum Circuit, in the province of Cuyo.
The activity of WorldSBK and WorldSSP, the opening category, in the layout of 4.276 meters and 17 curves will start on Friday with free practice. The SBK will have two exits to the track: the first from 10.30 to 11.15 and the remaining from 15 to 15.45. The SSP, meanwhile, will rotate from 11.25 to 12.10 and from 16 to 16.45.
El Saturday from 10 to 10.30 the SBK will carry out its third practice. The activity of the main division will be completed with the Superpole, from 12.10 to 12.25; and the first race of the weekend, which will start at 15 pm. The SSP will contest its Superpole from 11.15 to 11.45 and its first competition from 13.30 pm.
The morning of Sunday it will start with full tanks, from 10 to 10.15 for the SBK and from 10.25 to 10.40 for the SSP. Punctually at 12 o'clock the Superpole race for the Superbike will begin, at 13.30:15 the second SSP round will start and at XNUMX the SBK will close the day with its second competition.
In this presentation of the World Cup there will be five Argentine pilots. In WorldSBK they will represent the country Leandro Mercado (Honda CBR1000 RR-R / MIE Racing), the only one that runs all year round; Luciano Ribodino (Kawasaki ZX-10RR / Team Pedercini Racing) and Marco Solorza (Kawasaki ZX-10RR / Team Pedercini Racing).
While in the in SSP600 they will do the same Andres Gonzalez (Yamaha YZF R6 / VFT Racing) and Matias Petratti (Yamaha YZF R6 / Yamaha MS Racing)
The WorldSBK championship is led by the Turk Toprak Razgatlioglu (Yamaha), 478 points; and the english Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki), 454; and Scott Redding (Ducati), 424. While in WorldSSP they send the Swiss Dominique Aegerter (Yamaha), 354; the south african Steven Odendaal (Yamaha), 300; and spanish Manuel González (Yamaha), 249.
