The Lotus Emira is not just another Lotus… This is a special Lotus because it is the last model to be manufactured without including any type of electrification. It will hit the market in mid-2022 and will compete, for example, with the Alpine A110, BMW 2 Series Coupe or Porsche 718 cayman. Here are five facts you need to know about this sports car:
1) It has two types of motorization: 2.0-liter four-cylinder with turbo manufactured by Mercedes-Benz that develops 360 horses and a V6 supercharged by a compressor of Toyota who delivers 400 horses. The gearbox can be manual or automatic. All power is transmitted to the rear axle.
3) The suspension is configurable with two modes: Tour, designed for daily use, and Sports, for a sportier driving. The steering has hydraulic and not electric assistance.
4) The seats were designed for greater comfort, especially on long-distance trips. Optionally, they can be exchanged for premium sports seats with 12-position electrical adjustment.
5) Each filtering bag driving assistance systems (ADAS) include Adaptive Cruise Control, Anti-Collision System, Fatigue Alert, Traffic Sign Information, Vehicle Speed Limiter, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Assist.
