British sports car manufacturer Lotus announced the launch of a new electric model, which will become the first new car to be launched on the market since 2008.

The company explained that the Type 130 It will be the first model that it will put on sale in more than a decade and he stressed that it will become his first high-performance electric sports vehicle.

The CEO of the company, Phil Popham, stated that the Type 130 will become the vehicle "more dynamic " developed by Lotus in its 71-year history.

"It will be a turning point for our brand and is a sample of what Lotus is capable of doing", added the executive.

The British firm explained that the technical details of the vehicle will be unveiled later this year in London.
