The dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull) dominated with authority the first free practice session of the Grand Prix of Great Britain, which has a special format that includes the definition of the starting grid through a 100 kilometer sprint race.
The arrival of the championship to Silverstone, the House of Lewis Hamilton and a traditionally car-friendly circuit Mercedes, it presaged an improvement of the German team, but for the moment Verstappen continues without giving option.
The World Cup leader, who comes from adding four victories in the last five rounds, sealed a best time of 1:27.035 and he got more than seven tenths out of all his rivals, a wide and very unusual distance in a first free practice session.
