Mercedes-Benz continues to expand the family of SUVs in Argentina. Now presented the new GLA, the brand's entry-level all-rounder, which is offered in the variants GLA 200 Progressive y GLA 250 AMG-Line 4MATIC.
The front-wheel drive GLA 200 features a 1.33-liter turbocharged engine. 163 CV and 250 Nm between 1.620 and 4.000 rpm. It is coupled to a 7G-DCT (double clutch) transmission.
While the GLA 250 boasts a 2.0-liter turbocharger from 224 CV and 350 Nm between 1.800 and 4.000 rpm. The transmission is 8G-DCT and 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
Su offroad package It includes downhill assistance, off-road driving parameter graph, engine delivery regulation, ABS regulation for slightly rough terrain, rear multi-disc clutch coupling with carbon fiber coating and capacity for 1.000 Nm.
This new generation of the GLA is more voluminous than the previous one since It grows in length, width, distance between the axes and, especially, in height. The exterior increase is noticeable in the cabin where legroom is more equal between the first and second rows. The mouth of the trunk is wider and allows to go from 421 to 435 liters.
This new model has the attributes of the current generation of the A family, such as the multimedia system MBUX. The dashboard is 100% digital on a 7 or 10,25 ”screen. In the section on the driver's side, the second 10,25-inch screen stands out. There, the MBUX system offers customizable display, navigation system, software with learning functions and the system that is activated with the keyword “Hello Mercedes”, among others.
The new GLA adds driver assistance systems such as active braking assistant that initiates autonomous braking to avoid a collision or, at least, minimize its impact. Safety is completed with seven airbags and ISOFIX anchors and TOP-Tether attachment points.
