There is no doubt that one of the most iconic classic cars in the history of Dodge is Coronet, produced from 1949 to 1968. And although each of its generations had something in particular, the fifth was the most attractive for its performance, design and for being the model that opened the way to the existence of the Charger y Challenger. In addition, it stood out for offering two totally sporty versions: the Super bee and R / T.
Taking into account that this model is considered a whole muscle car, it is highly coveted by preparers, either to restore it to its original state or to make a series of modifications. The latter is what he did Mopar. And if it turned out well ...
In the purest style of the great modifications, the division of FCA he took a Dodge Coronet R / T to make some other deep changes to the body. As a result, it draws attention to several aspects, which involve the redesign the roof, the C-pillar, the front and rear light clusters, the bumpers, the grille, the handles, the fenders and the exhaust outlet.
This work of aesthetic tuning is complemented by inch wheels 20, which are accompanied by Pirelli PZero 405/25 R24 tires for the front axle and 235/35 R20 for the rear.
In short, no one can deny that with all this series of adjustments and fastback styling, the appearance of this Coronet is reminiscent of the first-generation Dodge Charger.
Along with the changes to the exterior, the interior of this muscle car was also customized, but with the exception that kept its essence and retro atmosphere. With a minimalist touch, the beige cabin features a leather-lined dash, a new instrument cluster, a sports steering wheel, reconfigured air conditioning vents, a classic-style gear stick, leather upholstery, power windows and the elimination of the one-piece rear seat.
To get the most out of it, the Coronet was stripped of the 426 hemi original and a lavish engine was fitted: the Hellcat V8. In addition to this, the preparer provided the eight cylinder with a bigger compressor, with the aim of generating more power. Thus, this muscle car has nothing more and nothing less than 770 hp and 750 Nm of torque via a six-speed manual transmission.
With this work, Mopar proves that perfection exists.
