
La Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Camera (CAFAM) reported that in the first month of the year 29.435 units, this represents a rise of 8,16% compared to the same month of the previous year and an increase in 32,53% compared to December 2020.
The best-selling motorcycles continue to be those with low displacement and 95% of those patented for the month were of national origin, which increases a trend that has been taking place since 2016.
The areas of major patenting they were Buenos Aires, with 8.912; Santa Fe, with 3.534; and Córdoba, with 3.222. Chaco, with 1.511; and the City of Buenos Aires, with 1.480; complete the Top 5.
The recent CAFAM report also highlights that low-displacement motorcycles continue to be the best-sellers after being sold 14.425 of 110cc and 5.273 of 150cc. And in terms of categories, the ranking of the month has the CUB as the leader with 15.388 units, followed by the Street with 6704 units.
From the sector they emphasize that these figures are due to a boost in consumption that has been maintained since the last months of last year, although the volume is very low compared to the historical figures of previous years.
“We are waiting to have joint meetings with the National Government to agree on policies that give us predictability and promote the development of the entire value chain.
