The weekend culminated in the 32nd edition of the Miami Open, an outstanding event of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000, in which the best players in the world participate: this time, all the members of the Top 10 (first time since 2012) and 17 of the Top 20 players in the ranking.

Top winner of Masters 1000 tournaments with 28 trophies - he surpassed Nadal who has 27 -, sixth title at Crandon Park - equaling Andre Agassi's record - and third in a row, he also reached 714 victories on the circuit, surpassing his coach Boris Becker up to the eleventh ATP player with the most wins.

National ambassador. On the other hand, Juan Martín Del Potro played his third ATP World Tour tournament since his return from a left wrist injury last year. This is the 27-year-old Argentine's eighth appearance in Miami, where he posted his best semi-final result in 2009 when he lost to champion Andy Murray. After his operation he returned to action this year in Delray Beach where he advanced to the semifinals (against later champion Querrey). At Indian Wells, he reached the second phase. In the days leading up to this competition, the Tandilense was training in a double shift and exchanged games with Leonardo Mayer, another tennis player who arrived in excellent shape.
