Nyck De Vries, new leader of the Formula E World Championship at an end date

The first season of the Formula E as a world championship it will have an exciting outcome after the penultimate weekend of action, which took place in London and where the dutch Nyck de vries (Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team) achieved great results that allow it to reach the last round at the top of the standings.

De Vries, who had two wins this year, finished second in both London races. In the first he escorted the British Jake dennis (BMW i Andretti Motorsport) and in the second to another local driver: Alex lynn (Mahindra Racing), who beat the Brazilian after the sanction Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler Formula E Team) for taking the lead by going through the pitlane while the race was neutralized with the safety car.

The last step of the podium in these races went to Lynn, on Saturday; and for the New Zealander Mitch Evans (Jaguar Racing), on Sunday.

“I honestly don't know if I should be happy to lead the championship at the moment with a relatively small margin over the rest, but of course I am on how our weekend here turned out. Getting to the podium is great. But I'm not sure if everything will work out in our favor in Berlin. Time will tell, but we will do our best ", confessed the new leader of the contest.

De Vries has 95 points, six more than his compatriot Robin Frijns (Envision Virgin Racing), 13th and 4th, respectively; The British Sam bird (Jaguar Racing), who had reached the top of the standings and did not score a point, is now third with 14 points, sharing the position with Dennis.

The double round of the Formula E championship final will take place in Berlin (Germany) on August 14 and 15.
