Pagani Automobili, the Argentine company Horacio Pagani, surprise again with the Pagani Huayra R, the most extreme version of its successful hypercar that can only be used on circuits.
Prior to its launch, Pagani himself stated that the Huayra R was a tribute to those vehicles that were consecrated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Ferrari P4, the Ford GT40 and, very especially, the mythical Porsche 917. And seeing this finished machine there is no doubt that it more than met its objective.
Pagani endowed the Huayra R with a V12 engine 6-liter naturally aspirated engine signed by the German company HWA AG. With only 198 kilos of weight, it pays 850 CV at 8.250 rpm and has a maximum torque of 750 Nm between 5.500 and 8.300 rpm. In this way, the Huayra R becomes the most powerful Pagani in all history.
The V12 is coupled to a six-speed sequential transmission with a competition clutch of three sintered metal discs that reduces the times between changes, in addition to improving friction efficiency up to 95%.
Huayra R, which weighs 1.050 kg, is built on a carbon and titanium monocoque along with other chromium moly components. The aerodynamic development provides an almost perfect balance: 46% at the front and 54% at the rear. Thanks to the implemented solutions, such as the flat bottom, the aggressive diffuser and its large rear spoiler, It is capable of producing 1.000 kg of load at 320 km / h.
As it was created to be enjoyed on a circuit, it is equipped with an independent double wishbone suspension with coil springs and active electronic dampers, Brembo brakes with 410 mm front and 390 mm rear carbon ceramic discs.
While its interior is also fit for purpose with a tubular safety structure, competition seats with six-point harnesses, automatic fire extinguishing system, side head protections on the seat back and quick-release steering wheel.
The production of the Pagani Huayra R will be limited to only 30 units and the price of each one is 2.6 million.
