Peugeot Design Lab GTi Surfboard: A Lion for Surfers

Peugeot is one of the automotive brands that gives more importance to sportsmanship. Added to its successful presence in the world of rallying and, especially, in the Dakar, are the GTi versions of some of its most iconic models, such as the Peugeot 208 and the Peugeot 308, among others.

But Peugeot is not only vehicles and, therefore, its sporting spirit is transferred to other areas of industrial engineering such as private jets, helicopters, yachts, motorcycles, bicycles and electric scooters and, now also to the world of surf thanks to the new Peugeot Design Lab GTi Surfboard.

The new surfboard, designed by the spectacular Peugeot Design Lab -the advanced design division of the lion brand-, is inspired by the philosophy of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, while in its design the aesthetic and technological characteristics of the Peugeot 208 GTi, the now legendary Peugeot RCZ R and the Onyx concept car.

The GTi Surfboard combines the traditional wood of classic surfboards with the latest carbon fiber technology. The quad fins are fluidly positioned along the edge of the tail, designed to give greater stability, fluidity and quality to the platform's friction with the water.

The “Coupe Franche” design separates the two parts of the platform. The exciting lower part is a precise and technologically advanced zone in black carbon fiber finished with quad fins, while the upper part has a leading edge made of natural wood adorned with the Peugeot GTi brand signature.

Like the rest of the products designed by the Peugeot Design Lab, the GTi Surfboard can only be purchased on request at a price to be assigned, and is tailored to its future lucky owners depending on its height and volume. It is also personalized to the smallest detail, including its engraved names and other types of surfer motifs.
