Why will F.1 fans be hooked on Netflix?

The streaming platform Netflix will produce a documentary in ten chapters of the 2018 Formula 1 season. It will be shot during the development of this tournament and will be released in early 2019.

The documentary will provide an unrivaled and exclusive insight into the world of the fastest drivers, team leaders and owners, as well as the management of Formula 1.

The producer of the series will be the British James Gay Rees, who produced in 2010 a documentary about the Brazilian Ayrton Senna, an icon of the category who died in an accident at the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994, and won the Oscar five years later with “Amy” (2015), focused on the singer Amy weinehouse.

“The deal with Netflix serves to chronicle the fascinating story of what happens behind the scenes during a Grand Prix season. This is a perspective on the sport that has yet to be presented to fans around the world. " said Sean Bratches, the head of marketing for Formula 1.

At present, at least in Argentina, on Netflix you can see several productions dedicated to motor sport in which “Senna”, “Williams”, who portrays the life of Frank Williams, stands out; and “Journey to Le Mans”, about an English team that participates in the mythical endurance test.
