Rally Argentina will have its 40th edition in 2021!

The test will be valid for the CODASUR Championship and also the Argentine Rally.

After a year on hiatus, the Rally Argentina will return to action and celebrate its long-awaited 40th Edition, which will be held from April 16 to 18 in Villa Carlos Paz, in the province of Córdoba. The competition organized by the Automobile Club Argentino (ACA) will be valid for the first date of FIA CODASUR Championship and for the fourth appointment of Argentine Rally.

From its first edition held in Tucumán in 1980 to the present, the Rally Argentina had only been absent from the annual automobile calendar on two occasions: in 1982 and the most recent, in 2020. However, and despite the numerous difficulties presented in the recent times, the ACA has once again bet on the continuity of this emblematic and historic competition that has already earned a place in the hearts of motorsport fans.

Rally ArgentinaOn this occasion, the itinerary of the SpeedAgro Rally Argentina It will be composed of eight Special Tests, where Villa Carlos Paz will have the epicenter of the activity. In addition to housing the Service Park, the city will open the competition on viernes 16 with the Villa Carlos Paz Super Special, which will have a new 1,10 km route and with the particularity that it will be held during daylight hours.

El Saturday 17, the competition will continue with Agua Fría – La Candelaria (PE2 / 4 - 24,96km) and San Gregorio-Cuchilla Nevada (PE3 / 5 - 23,50km). Both sections will have two passes: one in the morning and one after noon. In addition, to culminate the day, this edition will feature the presence of a section known and loved by the public: the Super Special Theme Park (PE6 - 6,04km - 2 laps), where the pilots will start in pairs and simultaneously .

El Sunday 18, the race will end with the mythical Copina – El Cóndor (PE7 - 16,43km) and Giulio Cesare-Mina Clavero (PE8 - 18,90km). Consequently, the 40th edition of the SpeedAgro Rally Argentina will feature 137,39km of special and a total of 689,68km.

TRIBUTE TO JORGE RECALDE

Jorge RecaldeMany stories were written around Rally Argentina throughout all these years. Undoubtedly, one of the most outstanding names has been that of Jorge Recalde, who in the company of Jorge Del Buono, he won the competition in 1988 and to this day, he continues to be the first and only Argentine -and South American- driver to win a valid date for the World Championship. Likewise, it was also imposed in 1995 (that time, Martín Christie was his navigator), when the race was valid for Formula 2.

On this occasion and also on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the death of the “Cóndor”, the 40th edition of the SpeedAgro Rally Argentina will not only end in his homeland, Mina Clavero.
