Renault Sport present at the 2nd STC2000 eSport All-Star Championship

The Renault Sport Castrol Team will be represented by its three official drivers: Leonel Pernía, Facundo Ardusso and Matías Milla. The tournament starts on Sunday in Rosario.

While the Super TC2000 continues to prepare for when the long-awaited moment arrives to start the engines and return to the circuits, the All-Star Championship from its eSport platform becomes the ideal aperitif to keep the passion of the fans alive and the drivers focused.

The virtual tournament where the pilots compete with their simulators conquered their space and this Sunday begins its second edition after the event generated by the first contest. The racetrack rosary It will be the setting for the first date.

Unlike the first edition, this time in the championship only the pilots who participate in the category will race. The Renault Sport Castrol Team, champion in the last years of the specialty, will be with his three pilots: Leonel Pernía, monarch in 2019; Facundo Ardusso, king in 2017 and 2018; Y Matías Milla.

Renault eSport“We are waiting for you all this Sunday. It is very stimulating to see on the screen the number of followers that support us. From the first All-Star Championship I liked the commitment of the STC2000 pilots and the possibility of mingling with the simracers who usually run this type of tournaments "Pernía explained.

"Virtual tournaments grow day by day and the medium becomes more and more competitive so there is no other option but to dedicate more hours to it. For those of us who are parents and have other obligations in this quarantine, it is not so easy. But you have to find the space to train because we all want to win and you have to be more and more refined "added Tanito.

“The quarantine logically changed many of my habits, including my relationship with the simulator. I used to dedicate an hour a day to it and now it's not below three or four. Racing in a simulator is a totally different driving technique from the real car and, to be competitive -as in everything- you have to dedicate yourself and train ”, Ardusso pointed out.

"In particular, I took it as another category in which I have to compete, it cost me ... but little by little I am improving, gaining confidence and feeling more comfortable"added the Santa Fe.

While Milla highlighted: “I am very hooked on these virtual championships. The sim requires a very particular training and you have to take it professionally if you want to win ”.

The test can be seen at 20.00 on the YouTube channel of TyCSports, the site of the category and that of Carburando.
