Based on a customer's request, Rolls Royce manufactured an exclusive model: the Sweptail, which was presented at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The price of this unique copy is 13 million dollars, something that makes it the most expensive car in the world.
This vehicle, whose development began in 2013, is built on the basis of the Phantom Coupé. The front part is typical of the British brand, although with very specific elements such as the bumper and the optical group.
The side view is where you begin to appreciate the uniqueness of the Sweptail with a shooting brake style roof drop that virtually lengthens the model.
The shape of the roof, entirely made of glass and triangular, is what structures the rear, totally different from that of the Phantom Coupé. The brand admitted that for the design they have been inspired by models of the 20s and luxury yachts, as requested by the client.
This influence is even clearer in the passenger compartment, where the rear seats have been eliminated and it has been chosen to combine light-colored leather with dark wood, all adorned with aluminum and with a light blue ambient light.
The Sweptail does fully inherit the Phantom's engine, a 12-liter V6.75 with approximately 460 hp.
