El WTCR completed the second date of his championship at the Portuguese racetrack in Estoril. Of the three from Rio de la Plata that compete in the specialty, the most outstanding was the Uruguayan Santiago Urrutia, which added a good amount of points that allow him to be third in the tournament.
Urrutia had a great performance in the first competition, in which he completed the 1-2-3 of the Cyan Performance Lynk & Co. The victory was for the French Yann Ehrlacher; while second came his compatriot -and uncle- Yvan muller.
The Argentines Esteban Guerrieri y Nestor Girolami, both coequipiers in the Munich MotorsportThey had mixed luck: the first came fifth after starting tenth; while the second left due to an incident shortly after the start.
In the second competition, Urrutia again excelled with fifth place in the race that had the Hungarian as the winner Attila Tassi (Münnich Motorsport). Guerreri, who started from pole positon, crossed the line in eighth position; while Girolami closed the weekend in 13th place.
The French Jean-Karl Vernay (Engstler Hyundai) left Portugal with the first place in the tournament, despite the fact that he only added in one competition (he left in the first and finished second in the rest). He has 81 points against Tassi's 51. Urrutia shares the third place in the table with Muller with 58 units; while Guerrieri is sixth with 52 and Girolami eighth with 42.
The next date will be July 11 in Aragon, Spain.
